Asalamu Alaikum,

From the Quran, in surat al-Balad (90) ayah 10, Allah says:

And have shown him the two ways?

While reading in Discover magazine, I came across an article titled Is Morality Innate and Universal?

What especially grabbed my attention in the article is this

If every time you were confronted with a moral issue you had to work it through, you would do nothing else

From the Hadeeth of the prophet Mohammad (PBUH), we know this

In the article linked above,
Harvard psychologist Marc Hauser's new theory says evolution hardwired us to know right from wrong.

Per the aya and hadeeth above, Allah has created us with an innate ability to distinguish right from wrong. This fitra - or instinct, it seems to me, is what the psychologist Marc Hauser's new theory is pointing to, aside from his reference to evolution as the driver.

To me, this further shows how the Quran is an all encompassing book, and how science keeps proving the truth. And Allah knows best.
