](e.g) vs (i.e)

Many people know that the

abbreviation [e.g] means (for Example). From

the Latin [exempli gratia]. But, many other

confuse it with the abbreviation [i.e] which

means (that is to say) and it is derived from the

Latin [id est] and it is used for explaining

previous ideas.

C = (S) or (K)
Some people make mistakes in using the letter C and don't know when to read it as S or K.
The Rule:
If C is followed by (i // e // y) pronounce it as an (S)
If it is followed by any other letter it is pronounced (K)
This rule has no exception.

G = (J) or (g)
On the other hand the letter G must be pronounced as (J) if it is followed by (i) as in (Giant) or (y)as in (Gypsy) or (e) in the beginning of the word as in (Geography).Otherwise it is uttered (g) as in (garden / good / guide). Unfortunately, This rule is not absolute, and there are some exceptions to it that may confuse ordinary learners e.g. (girl).

According to my own point of view, the most confusing words in the English Language apart from what you have mentioned are the mistakes and misunderstanding that happen when we use the words which are phonetically related (Homophones) such as : write, right, wright, rite/ Sight, site/ night, knight/ Deer, dear/ drive, derive
In these kinds of words, it is difficult for the addressee to distinguish between them unless. He/she knows what the speaker talks about.
